Feedback from the super crit

Supercrit Today we had our hi-fi prototyping session with teams across the level. For our supercrit we really want to flesh out the sign-up process and how parents perhaps hear about the Boris app. We used an initial idea of the 'child' bringing home from school a flyer that has Boris app information and directs the parent to the website. We prototyped the sign in process on the website and then completing the first activity through the app.

Feedback session 1:
  • The app is easy to follow activity box needs to more obvious
  • sort of a surprise when signing up
  • more info on first page of website flyer looks appealing to kids like the simple design string cloud looks nice on website love the idea of getting packages the options are great (outdoor, indoor, both) Science kits/craft kits
  • could give ideas for activities in box themes for every month are cool on the app maybe could change the circle meter to a horizontal meter important to create hype with the kids look into options for this could be helpful to have the kids having instructions or an app for themselves that they can access overall it is well thought through We changed the flyer and the website to make it more informative about the process, also added a 'blind package' to open.

Feedback session 2:

  • like the different options but need to add the price if the child is ordering with the parent perhaps more exciting tracking options and build the hype cute activity very linear app and website navigation information about the box being a monthly arrival with 4 blind packages within it could be more obvious (perhaps include in motion graphic video) also first page of the website needs more direction to flow down, could be a nice illustration
  • with more important information at the top Flyer could be a good opportunity to engage through an initial activity intro could be clearer
  •  "as a busy parent... who wants to..." "well we can help... it's easy... fun... and brought to you" think about how the child is involved
  • maybe have something collectible that comes with each box perhaps kids need to be more involved with app as well
  • taking part in the memories (from their own phone?) think of the app as a scrapbook for parents - having something to learn each time is good ? website more comfortable for both parents and kids sign up process is linear and obvious

Redesigning "Boris"

Current Illustrations I have done for the website and app.

Going for a different style rather than the flat vector styles
